Last week I did alright with the first two games, but missed the next two. Unfortunately, Jason picked one correctly, which means he has sewn up the championship. Congrats Jason! Now it is a battle for second place between Sean and myself (we are both tied with 142), Gideon is sitting at 140, so he needs to be perfect, and neither of us to pick anything right in order to get second. My underdog pick hit, so that brings my record to 7-13 for a positive gain of $5.26 on the season. Here are my picks this week…
AFC Championship: Kansas City Chiefs @ Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are a 3.5 point favorite. I hate betting against Kansas City though, so this week I am taking the Chiefs to cover, but I think Baltimore wins the game. I think my bet here would be Baltimore on the ML. I think Lamar gives the Chiefs defense trouble, and the Ravens defense can actually get to Mahomes.
NFC Championship: Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers
I want to believe in the Lions. I think they can cover the seven points (going with two underdogs this week seems like a huge mistake). But honestly, I believe they can beat the 49ers. Goff is going to outplay Purdy, and the only thing that scares me is Dan Campbell. I feel like he gets amped up and can sometimes make poor decisions. Like I could totally see him decided to go for a 4th and 6 on the first drive at like their 35-yardline, not getting it, and the 49ers scoring an easy TD. His boldness has won them games, but it could very easily cost him.
