My first thought was “holy shit, are they making an Erik Northman origin story?” And then I went to the comments on Facebook and the first one was “this better end with him being turned into a vampire!” It is cool to see Alexander Skarsgård getting back to his roots. But seriously, wasn’t Erik’s origin very similar in True Blood? His father was killed by a vampire and Erik swore vengence? I cannot remember, it has been like forty years since I thought about that show.
