Decades Project: 2000s Movie–Lucky Number Slevin

Since the post yesterday was about a 2006 song, might as well write about one of my favorite movies from that year: Lucky Number Slevin. If you have never seen it, I will not spoil anything. I remember the previews portrayed it is as a standard rom-com with Josh Hartnett and Lucy Liu. But it was actually a neo-noir crime film.
A few spoilers from here…
I think my favorite moment of the movie is when we learn that Slevin and Goodkat are working together, and that our protagonist is more than he appears. He kills Yitzchok with a silenced pistol, then we see Goodkat walk in, who we assume is trying to kill him. Goodkat pulls his gun, and shoots the not-so-dead Yitchok before he kills Slevin. That is the moment when we realize the two are working together, and now we need to know why. Yep, I love this movie.
