I was thinking about this movie the other day and wondered when we would see a teaser and the title revelation. I thought it would happen before Avengers: Endgame, which would have been cool, but unnecessary during what should probably be the biggest movie of the year.
Anyways, Abrams and Disney read my mind and decided to release it today. The title is The Rise of Skywalker. I like it. This is the movie that wraps up the Skywalker saga.
I enjoyed the end of the teaser, when we see the planet they are on and the remains of a destroyed Death Star, then the Emperor’s laughter plays over everything. Does that mean he will be coming back? Maybe as a ghost? Or a clone?
Also, how cool does that opening scene look? Rey leaping over a ship with her lightsaber? Was it Kylo Ren or maybe one of his Knights of Ren? Or just some random pilot?
Seriously, I am pumped for December!
