I was watching Spidey and His Amazing Friends with Logan the other day and I noticed something silly (okay, I notice a lot of silly things with this cartoon…for starters, it is 100% PJ Masks with different costumes). Anyways in this episode, the kids go camping with Spin’s dad. The dam starts to break and before the water can burst through, Officer Morales wants to save some foxes. He lures them out of their hole and as they escape, he notices their pup is not with them. He tells the foxes to wait there while he runs back and gets the fox pup out and eventually gets swept up by the water.
Why did he insist on running back? He should have sent the foxes! They looked like red foxes, which can run about 30 mph. A human runs about 10 mph, maybe a little more if is a short distance sprint. A red fox could carry it’s pup out of there and still most likely run faster than Officer Morales.
In case you were wondering, gray foxes can run about 42 mph. Also, I think Logan hates watching his favorite cartoon with me since I am either ruining it with animal facts OR pointing out that Miles Morales is just Spider-Man, not Spin. And that Spidey and Spider-Man are the same thing. He does not get that one yet.
