I wonder if Jon loses his sword at the Battle of Winterfell. This would set up a great moment where someone presents him a new Valyrian steel sword. Perhaps one that would be his birthright…

Yep, I am going to throw out Blackfyre. I realize we do not hear much about Aegon the Conqueror’s sword and the stuff about the Blackfyre Rebellion on the show, but it would be so cool if the leader of the Golden Company (who Cersei sent for last season with help from the Iron Bank) learns that Jon is a Targaryen and after seeing him in battle, hands him a sword that he was told to safeguard until a true Targaryen could be found.

For those that do not know their history, well I am sorry. The Golden Company was founded by Bittersteel, who wielded the sword during the rebellion. He left Westeros and formed a mercenary company…

So my theory is that Jon loses Longclaw, but gains a new sword AND a new ally (also, those book readers will also realize how important the Golden Company is to the Targaryen family…perhaps we finally meet Connington).
