Who: Tim Ryan, Member of the House of Representatives from Ohio
Slogan: “Our Future is Now”
Positive: Ryan comes from Ohio and would be able to bring back those Obama-Trump voters. He has tailored his message around how to fulfill the promises made and broken by President Trump, particularly to the working class.
Negative: He may be too focused on manufacturing. I think he is too moderate for some of the left-leaning voters.
My Thoughts: Honestly, at first I thought he was just running to gain some exposure. When I saw him on Real Time with Bill Maher, I was not very impressed. But then I heard his interview with Pod Save America and he was very excitable when given the chance to talk about his ideas. Also, when he talks about mindfulness and eating right, he really brings the energy.
I do enjoy his logo, the red/blue coming together. It fits his message (obviously intended). Quick side story…on another episode of Pod Save America, one of them mentions how some of the candidates are like dead fish when the interview ends and others are totally charming and energetic. Listen to Ryan talk about the Browns and drinking Miller Lite, you can tell he is a funny guy who would be fun to watch a game with, despite being a Browns fan.

Not the best odds, but I could seriously see him doing well in the first debate and perhaps leeching off some of Biden’s supporters.
