Why do I always have so much trouble with Matt? It may not look like it, but I almost lost this week. I was down 6-5 going into Sunday and my team decided to step up and be awesome. Seriously, my team scored twelve runs, hit four home runs, knocked in ten runs, and batted .474 with a .512 OBP. At one point during the day, we kept flipping back and forth after each at-bat.
Fantasy Stud
Starling Marte! I love seeing him have a huge week. 8 R, 2 HR, 5 RBI, 4 SB, .500 AVG, .548 OBP. He helped Jason defeat Sean by having more stolen bases than Sean’s entire team. So yeah, he was definitely worth a fourth round pick. I wish he was still in Pittsburgh.
The League
Jason 9 Sean 3–Sean had six guys hit under .200 this week. Not going to win that way…
James 8 Pat 4–What a weird matchup. James dominated, but Pat hit 15 HRs. Unfortunately that is all his team did…
Ryan 8 Dustin 4–I guess Dustin has given up on starting pitching, only 18 Ks…
Adam2 6 Gideon 5–This one was a close score and it was an actual battle between them. Gideon had a big day Sunday, while Adam2 had a rough day for his hitting. But, Gideon could not pick up any wins, whereas Adam2 scored two wins. Crazy.
Next Up
I take on Sean again. The first time was a solid win for me, can I repeat that performance and be known as the King of the Bloggers? I think so.
So why did I choose this song for Matt? Well, in the picture for our league, I used one of a group of us at my bachelor party. I said that everyone should photoshop themselves into the picture. Matt did and in the picture he is wearing a Dropkick Murphys shirt. I love this song and if you notice, Matt’s team name is Ball So Hard Inc. and the name of this song has ball in it. Yep, it was meant to be.
