Best of 2024: Favorite Book

Most of the year there were like no books that I wanted to read, I ended up rereading a few books. Then by the end of October, it felt like a bunch of books kept coming out. Right now I am reading the newest installment of the Stormlight Archive, Wind and Truth. Also, there is a new book from Olan Thorensen, as well as three High Republic books that just came out. Jesus, I have some books to read!

Of all the books I read this year, my favorite was probably The Gunslinger. Yeah, the first Dark Tower book. I reread the first three books, and even though this has to be the fourth or fifth time through, it is still so magical. But since I cheated last year and claimed a reread as my favorite, I guess I have to make a choice. 

The Star Wars book that stuck with me the most this year was The Living Force. The book answers some of those questions about the failings of the Jedi Council (they were too focused on the Galactic Force instead of the Living Force), this book really helps show us how they became embroiled in the corruption of the Senate. Also, the ending is fantastic, with the perfect end credit scene.
