I listened to a bunch of books this year. I even read a few books. It was tough for me to pick a favorite. As far as older books, the Kenobi book I read was amazing. I loved it. There was also the new King’s Dark Tidings book: Dragons and Demons, which took the series in another direction. I loved The Sandman audio productions (Acts II & III). However, my favorite book. The one I probably thought about the most this year was The Fallen Star.
I have been a huge fan of Star Wars: The High Republic and I thought The Fallen Star was a fantastic ending to the first phase of this story. This book reminds us that the Jedi are not perfect. They trust in the Force too much, and it can lead to their downfall. They all feel uneasy, tense, and just wrong when the Leveler is onboard Starlight Beacon, but they all think it is just stress, and that if there were some danger or something wrong, they would know because of the Force.
