Gideon picked both games last week. Mom and Jon picked one, while the rest of us missed both games. The race for second is tight. Jon is up one on me. Here are my fun Super Bowl predictions.
Super Bowl LIV
Kansas City Chiefs (-1.0) vs. San Francisco 49ers
I am taking the Chiefs here. I think their offense is just too much for the 49ers defense. I am thinking 30-24, but I could honestly see it ending up a little more lopsided. The only way the 49ers have a chance is if they can force some early turnovers and keep this game low-scoring.
Prop Bets

Puppy Bowl XVI–Age of Puppy MVP (17.5 weeks)
I will take the under here. There are a bunch of Puppy Bowl bets (as well as Fortnite stuff that I know nothing about)
Total Shots on Goal by Sidney Crosby OR Total TD Passes by Patrick Mahomes
I would go with Crosby here. I am thinking that Mahomes has two TDs and my guess is that Crosby has more than two shots on goal.
Points/Rebounds/Assists by Zion OR 49ers Total Points
This is a tough one. As I said, I think the 49ers score about 24, so I guess go with Zion here.
How long will it take Demi Lovato to sing the anthem?
Bovada gives two options, one is two minutes and the other is 2:04. If I was putting a few dollars on this, I would go with the over 2:04 (but damn, the under two minutes has a nicer payout at 8/5 and under 1:55 is 11/4).
Super Bowl MVP
Obviously either QB is a good choice, but if you want to toss down a few buck on a long-shot, I would go with someone like Kyle Juszczyk (250:1 odds). I know it sounds crazy, but hear me out. The Chiefs know about Mostert, they will be keying on him. Imagine if the 49ers go to Juzczyk and he breaks off a few big runs. He can also catch the ball, so that would be an option. I am not saying it is a likely scenario, but hey, throw down $10 and if he wins the MVP, send me a portion of that $2500.
Will Smith makes an appearance during the half-time show?
There will be a special secret guest, right? I would dig it if Will Smith pops out singing “Miami” while J-Lo and Shakira sing the “welcome to Miami” part. It would be cool. So sure, throw a few bucks on that one, I mean at 29/10, it is not a bad little bet.
