Remember last year when I posted her picture from daycare? This is the picture from this year. She looks so much older. Granted, she is a year older, so obviously she would look older. Crazy to think that she will be two in two months.
I think at two you can basically stop with the months, right? Like, if someone asks how old she is, I can just say “she is two.” I tried doing that at one, but people would look at me like I was crazy, so I reverted back to months. I still feel so weird saying “oh, she is 22 months old.” I suppose I could say a year and ten months…that sounds dumb too. From here though, it is 2…then perhaps two and a half, and then almost three. Yep, I like that idea.
Since many of you are probably dying to know some details about Payton…
-She loves to run around. She screams “runnin'” while she does it.
-She is becoming more picky with food. I swear she would eat hot dogs and bananas for every meal if we allowed it.
-She calls Samson by his full name, which is odd since we usually call him Sam. It comes out more like SamSEEN.
-She drinks milk or water. She is not a huge fan of juices. Although, she will try my peach tea (and she does enjoy coffee, which she calls bahfeee).
-Ask her what sound a lion makes and she will definitely roar at you.
-Her new thing is during bath time. She will refuse to get out. She pretends to either be swimming or she says that she is taking a nap. She puts her face in the water and blows bubbles. It has definitely become a process to get her out. I usually drain the water, but then she lays there napping, which just means she closes her eyes and makes snoring sounds.
-She loves Samson. She always tries to be close to him, but sometimes he just wants none of it. She will cuddle up to him and he will get up and walk away. Kind of a jerk move honestly.
Also, she does not understand the idea that she has a little brother coming. She seems to get that Lindsey’s belly is where the baby is sleeping. She will pat her stomach and say “the baby sleeping.”
