100. That is the number of players that Adam2 & James used during this championship matchup. No one can ever accuse them of not doing everything they could to win. Even though Adam2 won 8-1, it was actually closer than it appeared.
They tied runs, home runs, and stolen bases. Adam2 had one more win and hold than James. He also had five more RBIs. Adam2 crushed him on saves, but James owned strikeouts. Unfortunately for James, he just could not make up the ground in those rate stats and since he could not break those ties, Adam2 has a big win for his second consecutive championship. Congrats Adam!
The rest of the matchups were pretty good. Sean has to be frustrated with how good his team played this week (16 home runs). Same with Ryan to be fair, I think either one of them would have won their battles last week and then been in the finals.
I cannot complain about how my team finished. Gideon and I were close all week and he managed to pull out the victory. I feel like in a full season both of our teams would have been better than where we ended. Unfortunately, COVID-19 had something to say about that.
This was a fun season. I would definitely prefer a few more weeks, but the short season made it feel more real. When I lost in week one to James, my reaction was “oh shit, I need to win or I will not make the playoffs.” Credit to James, Adam2, and Ryan who all dominated the regular season. They made smart moves and played the right guys who were streaking at the right time. Unless someone was a keeper, it did not make sense to hang onto someone who was not playing well.

For those that cannot remember what this means…I award five points for first, four for second, three for third, two for fourth, and one for fifth. I give points for the regular seasons and the playoffs.
As you can see, Ryan is still our leader. Next up we have Gideon, then myself. If I continue to suck the next few years, he will gain more separation. Adam2 and James are closing in on Jason. Actually, Sean has caught up to him. C’mon Jason, step up your game!
