Fact One: He tried to create a Department of Education, but Congress did not seem to care about educating children and they did not approve the funds.
Fact Two: This guy was concerned about unity and decided to fill his cabinet with opposition party members, even a few independents to lure them to his party’s side.
Fact Three: This president wanted America to play a bigger role on the world stage, so he began working on modernizing and expanding the Navy.
Fact Four: He went after the deep corruption inside the Post Office Department. He had his AG root out the corruption, which involved his own campaign manager.
Fact Five: Despite having groups that despised this president, he did not have any type of security. He was shot while leaving Washington D.C. and eventually died (mostly due to incompetent doctors) two months later.
