History Fact: This city was founded by former American slaves. In 1791, Thomas Peters who served in the Black Pioneers learned that the British Crown was planning to settle this area of Africa, he and abolitionist John Clarkson found 1100 former slaves in Nova Scotia who were sick of the cold weather and discrimination to found a colony.
Climate Fact: This city is hot AF. The average high is in the mid-80s all year. The low only gets to the mid-70s.
Religious Fact: The city has a mix of Christians and Muslims. The city is quite liberal and the two religions live side by side.
Abortion Fact: The entire country has a ban on all abortions and since this is the capital of that country, abortion is illegal there. I bring this up because it seems some conservative states in our country would love to emulate this city and country.
