Best of 2022: Favorite Movie

The downside to watching so many great TV shows is that I do not watch nearly as many movies. When I do sit down to watch a movie, or make it to the theater, it is usually for comic book movies or a sci-fi movie. This year I had to add more kids movies to the mix. Before I get to my top ten, there were a few movies that did not make the list. These are in no particular order: DC League of Super-Pets, Sing 2, Moonfall, and Lightyear. And now, my top ten…

4. The Batman

2. Thor: Love and Thunder

I had a tough time between the top four movies. The Batman was so good, but damn was it long. Almost three hours long makes it tough to rewatch. I would be lying if I said that only the kids loved Encanto, it has so many great parts and such great messages. Thor: Love and Thunder was a fairly divisive movie, and I know some people hated it, but I loved it. I enjoy how it has fun, but still has serious moments. Sometimes the MCU needs that. 

However, my favorite movie was the unexpected awesomeness of Prey. I kept hearing good things about it, but then a bunch of my friends said I should watch it. I am glad they did. It was the perfect Predator movie. It was not long. There were great fights. There was heavy tension. Although, there are a few movies I will watch in the next few days that could end up displacing it.
