We bought a bunch of stuff for the house this year. There were a bunch more Alexa devices and a ton of lights. I painted more trim and most of the house. We got a new dining room table and server. But none of those things are cool.
We did get a few cool things this year. The fence was a fantastic addition to the house. It is so much nicer being outside without having Samson on a leash. Also, the kids can play out there without worrying about them running off or anything.
The riding lawnmower was a fantastic addition and has been great for cutting a bigger yard (although the more stuff we get for the kids, the less yard I have to cut, haha).
I think you all know what my favorite toy was this year: my Pitboss Grill. I used it a bunch this year. I made a brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken wings, salmon, pork chops, queso, chicken, burgers, veggies, and shrimp. Yeah, I definitely got some use out of that bad boy. Also, I need to mention that the Pitboss Facebook group has brought me more joy than just about any other group I belong. The people generally post excellent tips and advice, but also there are some great jokes in the group. I highly recommend joining if you are into smoking meat.
