That was a close victory! Pat was beating me most of the week and I overtook him on Sunday, thanks to some starting pitching and a few big hitters. I think either of us would have beat almost any other team this week, especially our hitters.
Fantasy Player of the Week
This might seem pretty obvious, but Mike Trout is really good at baseball. He helped Ryan defeat James this past week and while all of his stats were great (five runs, two home runs, seven RBIs, and a steal). He also had a .381 AVG for the week. But, the part that I want to focus on is the OBP. He had a .552 on-base percentage! Teams are avoiding pitching to Trout (like Bonds back in the day) and instead of getting frustrated, he just takes those walks and waits for that mistake to come to him. It is impressive to watch.

As I said, Ryan upset James and it looks like Adam2 squeaked out a close on against Gideon. Sean had some difficulties with Offord.
Best Move
I will give Ryan some props for picking up Bryan Reynolds. The dude has been very good for the Pirates all year and the way he plays, it does not look like a fluke. Do I think he is a .350 hitter all season? No, but he is definitely worth having on a team.
The New Week
This week I take on my wife…while we are at the beach! It should make for some interesting conversations. Also, we have Matt & Offord, Ryan & Dustin, James & Jason, Adam2 & Sean, and Gideon & Pat.
