Best of 2022: Favorite Blog Post

I decided to dial back my blog posting this year, and it helped me out. I was able to write posts that were a little more meaningful. Like last year, I cannot pick a favorite post, so I will give you one from each month.

January: No Gas, No Squeegee–I hated that commercial, and my little rant caught on with a few others who hated it as well.
February: The Flood--Not a post I wanted to write, but I can totally feel my annoyance when I read it.
March: Star Wars: The High Republic–CASTING–I had so much fun writing this post.
April: Pick Two!–I loved this post. I still enjoy reading it.
May: Idiot Fans–Parents can be the worst fans.
June: FAQs About Abortion & the Future–This was after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and people were freaking out. I tried to address some of the fears.
July: Myrtle Beach 2022–Sometimes these posts are solely for me, so that I can remember vacations and things that happened.
August: The Nolan Ryan Question–Sometimes I see a tweet, and it leads me to a fun post.
September: Small Home Projects–I am proud of that table!
October: 42 and the Week that Was–I felt good about my birthday, and we had a nice week as a family.
November: Boxing: Then Vs. Now–I still like this post, but after considering it more, not really sure if I totally agree with Dan Carlin here. But I enjoy the debate.
December: The Landmaster!–I finally solved a lifelong mystery.

I had a few posts that I was proud of that never really got much traction. I tackled the trans athlete debate, wrote about Metallica, my Sword & the Stone live action idea, the Steelers draft, and the post about the Aristocrats

I had a few failures this year. I tried to do a weekly Penn State sports wrap-up. It was cool, but a ton of work that I just could not dedicate to one post each week. I also attempted another weekly quiz, this time with cities of the world.

But my favorite thing this year was writing my college football rankings. They take up a decent amount of time, especially the thought that goes into the actual ranking (or watching a bunch of games, haha). However, it is all contained over the weekend. So it was actually fairly easy to get done. I have had a bunch of positive comments about them, and I believe found some new followers each week. One of my favorites was the week two post, where I talk about Texas A&M and Miami playing each other…I guess that was not actually the most interesting game that week.
