I decided to look back at previous opening weeks and it seems like I always play Gideon and I always have trouble with him. I thought things might be different this year since I was winning the entire time until about Friday, then it all went downhill. I am not ready to panic on the season yet, the first week or so is always wonky.
Fantasy Stud
Nolan Arenado and Jose Ramirez were the top two players since the start of the season. But, the guy I am giving the Stud award to is Owen Miller. He hit .500 with two home runs, seven RBIs, and nine runs scored while posting a .545 OBP. Not too bad for a guy who was not drafted in our league and that James picked up four days ago. Is this sustainable? Doubtful, but it will be fun to see how long it lasts.

Offord came back from a hiatus and immediately jumps into first place. James took down Ryan and some early season bragging rights. Jordan makes an impressive debut in the league. And everyone else is just average. Including me. Story of my freakin’ life.
Next Up
This week I take on Lindsey. Hopefully I can beat her easily. The big matchup this week is Offord and Jordan. The rest of the league looks like this: James vs. Matt, Ryan vs. Jason, Sean vs. Dustin, and Gideon vs. Pat.
I had fun last year doing the music connected to the people I beat each week. It will be tough to top those. I think it will be fun to post videos from 1992. Why then? Well that was 30 years ago and the season when the Pirates came so close to going to the World Series.
