The second season of The Mandalorian kicked off with a bang. So many cool things happened, so I should warn everyone there will be a couple spoilers in here.
-Timothy Olyphant needs to be in everything. I enjoyed that his Cobb Vanth is the Marshall of the town. Thank you for the Justified nod!
-He has the Boba Fett armor and by the end, the armor is with Mando. I thought he might give Cobb the armor at the end and say something like “you may not be a Mandalorian, but you earned this, more so than the one who stole it.”
-The Krayt dragon spits acid? One of those versus a Xenomorph, who wins?
-Has there ever been anything as cute as Baby Yoda on the back of speeder smiling?
-The big thing I want to talk about is the ending. As Mando and Baby Yoda head back to his ship, we see a mysterious person watching them. The man turns and it is Temuera Morrison: the actor who played Jango Fett in the prequels. Boba is a clone of Jango for those that do not remember that bit. The implication is that this person is Boba Fett…
I do not think it is Boba Fett. There was a mysterious individual who looks at the body of the assassin in chapter five. I think this person is watching for Mando and the child. Who could it be then? My guess is this is Captain Rex (especially if Mando is going to have a run in with Ahsoka) or maybe Commander Cody. Although, the age is not really correct. Rex had a white beard during Rebels and this is well after that series.
If that was Boba Fett, then why not go up against Cobb Vanth and retrieve his armor? Has he been stuck on Tatooine this entire time? How does he keep know where the Mandalorian is whenever he is on the planet?
