WandaVision Theories

WandaVision has definitely lived up to expectations. The show went a different direction and it has paid off. The cool thing is that after each episode there are tons of questions and theories out there. If you have not watched the fifth episode, then I recommend stopping here. Otherwise, here are some of my theories…

-Wanda is not the villain here. She wasn’t the villain in House of M, but instead her power was used by Magneto (yes, an oversimplification, but whatever, it’s been awhile since I read it). Since it would make no sense for her mutant father to just pop up as the villain, my guess is that Mephisto turns out to be manipulating her.

I think he will just get a cameo. My guess is Mephisto is Ralph that Agnes keeps mentioning. Also, I think she is a willing servant to him. She is pushing Wanda to keep manipulating reality. Agnes is probably supposed to be Agatha Harkness, who in the comics was Wanda’s magical mentor at some point if I remember correctly.

Here is how I think it goes down…things continue to escalate as Wanda manipulates her little pocket reality. Vision tries to stop her, as does SWORD, but the only person who seems to be on her side is Agnes. Then something will happen and she will realize the harm she is causing and she will turn on Agnes (they will have a little magic battle) and after Wanda wins, Agnes will be seen going back to her husband, who will morph into Mephisto and he will say how disappointed he is in her.

-I think that will lead us to the Doctor Strange sequel. I think Strange will be battling Mordo, but there will be something about the multiverse that is bigger than Mordo and that will lead Strange and Wanda fighting Mephisto.

-The show keeps mentioning astronauts and I think there was a mention of an astro-engineer. It sounds like this is a reference to the Fantastic Four. Look, I have mentioned a few times how I would introduce them. I am not a fan of them being a really young group. And if they are not young, then how come Tony or Bruce never mentioned Reed Richards.

I have actually put way too much thought into my idea…not only would I have Johnny Storm show up and looking completely a mess, but I would do the origin story through his eyes. So basically he is telling this story and naturally he is the hero and the one who saves the day.

Also, when he meets the Avengers, it would be great if he mentioned Reed Richards and Bruce Banner is like “Richards, that name is familiar.” Then we get Tony Stark’s voice from a journal entry “dad used to say I had the potential to be smarter than him, but I was reckless like his friend Reed Richards.”

So yeah, please MCU…do not make the Fantastic Four some young group of scientists. PLEASE!!!!

-I hope Monica Rambeau has a Nextwave reference.
