2022 NFL Pick ‘Em Week 10

Four???? That has to be my worst performance ever. I cannot imagine a week doing worse. That is just awful. Mom, Jon, and Sean all had eight. The standings did not change much. Mom is still in the lead, I am still in third. I need to turn things around or this season is over.

Underdog Special: Los Angeles Chargers (+7.0)
At least my underdog pick was correct last week. I was also right about them winning, so my ML bet paid off. This week I am taking the Chargers. I have a few underdogs picked this week, so that means it will probably be a favoritefest.
Underdog Record: 7-2 (+$56.50)

Steelers Prediction: I have the Steelers covering in this one, but you know what? I think they are going to win. New Orleans is not that good, and I think T.J. Watt returning will change the defense in a bunch of ways. It will be low-scoring, but I could see this being the game that fans get excited about the future of Kenny Pickett.
Steelers Prediction Record: 3-5

I keep seeing all sorts of weird draft projections for the Steelers next year. Yeah, I know, it feels way too early to even think about that sort of thing, but alas…here we are. I keep seeing Will Anderson’s name pop up in mock drafts. He would be ridiculous paired with Watt. Honestly, I think Anderson is the best player coming out of the draft, but I guess people think teams will pass on him since so many teams need QBs. Most mocks have the first 3 or 4 picks being QBs. If that happens, the Steelers have to take Anderson. However, I think he may get taken by one of those teams, and they may just wait until the second round.

Now, if that happens and Anderson is not there, then I think the Steelers should have two plans. Either trade down with someone and take an offensive lineman. Or draft someone like Jalen Carter from Georgia to help solidify the defensive issues against the run. They do not need to take a skill position in the first round. This team is not a receiver away from being Super Bowl contenders. The offensive line is not terrible, but it could definitely use a bolster. The defensive line has issues (some of which are age related). They also need to address the secondary. I mean, if Joey Porter Jr. is available…I would love to see him in a Steelers jersey.

I guess my point here is that the Steelers are in a good position with this draft. I mean, if they finish with a top five pick, there are tons of options. Especially since teams are going to go crazy trying to find the next Josh Allen/Patrick Mahomes.
