Logan’s First Tooth

Logan lost his first tooth tonight. I wish I had a great story for you, but he did not realize he lost that tooth. He was showing Lindsey that his one tooth was loose, and she noticed that one is missing. He does not remember losing it, nor could we find it. This kind of reminds me of when Payton lost her first tooth. Except Logan did it much later. He is going to be five in a few days, she was three.
The other tooth looks like it will come out at any moment, so it will probably be a fairly profitable weekend for this guy, between teeth and a birthday, he will be rollin’ in dough.
Speaking of…
Who the hell came up with the tooth fairy stuff? Why did some weirdo decide that the kid should put the tooth under the pillow, then the tooth fairy replaces it with money??? Nothing better than trying to slip in, then slip out without waking a kid up. Granted, I am like a ninja, silently gliding into the room, doing the switch, and disappearing without making a sound. Although this time, I had to switch a note with some cash, since there was no actual tooth.
Also, how much is the going rate for teeth? I feel like there should be some discussion about this. We settled on $5, which sounds excessive, but inflation. I mean, what can a dollar get a kid nowadays? Not much. It is only 20 teeth. So parents of kids around Logan’s age, can we all just agree that $5 is the amount? I do not want to hear that some other tooth fairy is dropping $20s under the pillow.
