2024 Golf Picks–US Open

The results of the last major were wildly different from the first one. Mackey led the way with an insane -51. Scott was second at -38, with Isaac at -33. Sean was 4th at -9, and I was 5th with a -6. For the year Scott is leading the way with Isaac not too far behind. I need a good US Open, or my chances are over.

Tier 1: Scottie Scheffler
Yeah, I am not going to bet against him right now.

Tier 2: Sahith Theegala
I think Theegala will win a major at some point. I do not think it is this year, but it will happen down the road.

Tier 3: Min Woo Lee
I hate this third tier. I was tempted to take Keegan Bradley, Min Woo Lee is one of my favorites to watch, and I could see a solid top ten finish for him.

Tier 4: Jason Day
I believe he did well at Pinehurst last time the US Open was there. He will wear some stupid outfits, but he will play consistent golf and should give me a nice top 15 finish.

Tier 5: Rickie Fowler
Picking from the heart again. Fowler finished 2nd back at the US Open in 2014, which was at Pinehurst. Last year he finished in fifth place. He has not been playing too well recently, but he has made the cut in four of his last five tournaments, which is honestly what you need from a Tier 5 guy.

Tier 6: Austin Eckroat
Eckroat has been putting better recently (if advanced stats are to be believed) and golfers will need to putt well this week with how fast those greens are rolling (as I say this, it will probably pour down rain Thursday morning and slow the greens way down).
