Decades Project: 1970s Movie–Animal House

I used to quote this movie all the time in junior high. I still love saying “Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!” or “Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son.” or “My advice to you is to start drinking heavily.”

I think my favorite part of the movie is when the guy is playing the guitar, and Belushi grabs his guitar, smashes it against the wall, then says in a soft voice “sorry.” I think that is probably the most relatable college party scene in a movie. I think we have all been to a party where someone busts out a guitar and plays terribly, and it has crossed our mind to destroy it.

So grab your toga, crack open a beer, and enjoy one of the funniest movies of the 70s.
