The Depths of Neptune

I finished the fourth Imperium book a few weeks ago, but I have not had a chance to write about it. I liked the book, but it felt like a set-up book. We have Ky and his armies moving to the continent in order to take the fight to the Carthaginian Empire. Ky is trying to upgrade Roman society to basically the Industrial Revolution in just a few years. 

Anyways, I said I would do a casting for each book. Last book I did the main characters, today I will do the Ulaid royalty…

-Conchobar mac Nessa (King)–The King of the Ulaid. I think Jamie Dornan could pull it off, I know people dismiss him because of the 50 Shades movies, but when I see him in interviews being his Irish self, he cracks me up. 
-Cormac Cond Logas (Prince)–Conchobar’s son, who travels with Llassar and is to be educated in the ways of Roman war. He is hotheaded, and desperate to prove himself. We need someone young, I think Rhys Mannion has the look of arrogant prince that we need.
-Medb (Former Queen/Cormac’s Wife)–okay, I could only see Queen Maeve from The Boys whenever Medb would show up. She is rival to Conchobar, and he needs Llassar’s help to defeat them. Medb is taken prisoner and Llassar convinces the king to marry her to his son, so that her people follow willingly. She is considered very attractive, but also a formidable warrior. She is older than Cormac, and she quickly begins manipulating him. I think Dominique McElligott is perfect, she has the look from her previous Queen role.
