Logan’s First Movie

We went tonight to see Lightyear. It was our first time at the movie theater as a full family unit. This was also Logan’s first time at the movies. We went to the 6:40 show, which was also a change from when we went to Payton’s first movie

We got to the theater a little early, but had to run inside during a rainstorm. We picked up our tickets and bought some popcorn, then head inside and find some seats. There were people, but not so many that it was difficult or anything. When we sit down, Logan looks at the screen and says “why are we watching TV? Where is the stage?” Hahaha, I guess he expected to go to the theater. Maybe we will have to take him to a play or something. He was also confused by the previews. “Is this Buzz?” No. “Is this Buzz?” No. “Is this Buzz?” No. “Is this Buzz?” Yeah, it’s starting. “I have to go pee.” So we did miss the first minute or two of the movie (which I guess is sort of crucial to all the people out there confused about this whole movie).

Logan did good. He actually sat through the whole movie. He did say he was a little scared of the bad guys, and about halfway through he was starting to get a little antsy, so I asked if he wanted to sit on my lap. Towards the end of the movie, he wanted to sit on Lindsey’s lap (which was good since she was snoring at one point, maybe he could keep her awake).

On a positive note, Payton made it through the entire movie without having to go potty. She and I saw Sing 2 when it came out http://joshcroyle.com/2022/01/payton-me-and-the-movies-again/and she made it halfway before needing to pee.

Anyways, I enjoyed the movie. It is cool that Logan is now ready for movie theaters (and apparently spending the evening at the opera) because it just adds another thing to the list when we are looking for something to do as a family.
