Oh damn, I know I said it was too early in the year to get excited about a matchup with Ryan….but I destroyed him, so ya know what? I will be excited about this! Again, I thought stolen bases would be my category this season, but it looks like home runs are my thing.
Fantasy Stud
Joe Ryan continues to crush opponents. This week he picked up a win with ten strikeouts. He had a 1.29 ERA and 0.43 WHIP. He is 3-0 this season with 26 Ks. He was definitely worth a 12th round pick. I cannot wait until he goes 33-0 with 350 Ks.
The Season
This win helped me jump up to third place. I am 14-9-1 and I am 5.5 games behind Offord, who is in first place. I am also only a half game behind Jordan. This week I am taking on Offord, so my chance to jump into first is happening now.
I decided that this year I will find a song with a connection to the opponent’s name. So this week I beat Ryan. I am going with Ryan Adams cover of “Wonderwall.” First of all, the Oasis song is a fuckin’ classic, and Adams absolutely crushes it. Secondly, this is just an excuse to play a song that I like, deal with it. Just wait until some of the wins happen and I have to stretch to come up with something.
