Fantastic Four News!

Marvel had some big news on Valentine’s Day. They finally announced the cast for the upcoming Fantastic Four movie.

Reed Richards: Pedro Pascal
Sue Storm: Vanessa Kirby
Johnny Storm: Joseph Quinn
Ben Grimm: Ebon Moss-Bachrach

I love the cast. I feel like they are going in the right direction by casting older actors (older being a relative term here). We do not need the FF being a bunch of 20-year olds. But the more exciting part is that it looks like the movie will be set in the 1960s (look at the magazine Thing is reading–apparently it is an issue of Time from 1963).

For those of you that have read my other FF posts, I have mentioned my idea before that they should have Johnny show up in the MCU, looking like he was in a major battle. He then tells the origin story of the Fantastic Four, which is set in the 1960s, but has them travel to some other realm (something similar to the Quantum Realm). They have been there for years having adventures, but Johnny is shocked to learn that it is now the 21st century on Earth. This would be the perfect way to introduce the team! Hopefully the writers read my posts and rolled with it.
