Best of 2024: Favorite Blog Post

I wrote more posts this year than last year. It is always nice to achieve a goal. I like having a weekly post that helps me focus on something every week, but I think I overdid it this year. By the end of the year I was writing Fantasy Baseball, NFL Pick ‘Em, Movie, Music, and College Football Rankings. Not a lot of room to write about other stuff. May need to rethink some of that stuff.  That being said, I love doing all those posts.

Here are my favorite posts from each month:

January: THE NFL IS NOT RIGGED–I had to rant about how stupid people are for thinking the NFL is scripted.
February: Guatemalan Love Song–This was a funny, short post. I should do more of these types of things. Very silly.
March: Logan’s First Tooth–I tried to convince parents to cap the tooth fairy at a certain amount. Not sure how successful I was…
April: Glasses & Hair–Lindsey and I discovered we are terrible parents…
May:
End of an Era–We had our last trip to the daycare…
June: Softball & Baseball Season!–It was a great year coaching the kids in baseball & softball…
July: Bird Tales–We became a bird family!
August: How to Fix T-Ball–I really wish more people read this post, I would love to see some of these ideas implemented…
September: Found in My Attic: A Hat–A story about a hat, John Prine, and my dad…
October: 44 Years Old…Yikes–I am getting old…
November: Random Rambling–Sick kid, weird sleeping, lots of football stuff. I should do more posts like this…
December: Bowl Game Picks Part IX–I love writing about the college bowl games…

Like last year, I would say my favorite posts were my college football rankings. Seriously, if the playoff committee is looking for a new member, I am offering my services. Granted, I just learned they do not get paid, but they do get reimbursed for their expenses. Soooo, I will definitely need to get creative, and probably accept some bribes.

I also loved doing my Decades Project posts. I think my favorites were the most personal to me. Payton helping me with my post about Taylor Swift. I love talking about The Prestige. But honestly, my favorite post from all of this was about some 1960s songs that I think were about the same guy. Go back and read it, I crack myself up just thinking about it.

Another year of blogging in the books, I look forward to year 19…
