A Star Wars Solution

I was reading the story about Kelly Marie Tran (Rose from The Last Jedi) and how horrible she felt after being harassed by fans and I came to a realization: some Star Wars fans are awful.

I know, this is not a new revelation. Star Wars fans can be pretty terrible at times, or at least a small, very vocal minority of them can be terrible. The amount of hate people like Tran, Rian Johnson, and others have received is utterly disgusting. I think I have a solution…hire me as the new VP of Star Wars Development (is that an actual job?).

My first order of business would be to finish Episode IX and then just stop making movies. I would not give that group of fans the satisfaction of having any more movies to complain.

Do not get me wrong, I would continue to develop Star Wars properties focused on younger fans. Animated films that are more Pixar-esque or series like Clone Wars or Rebels. Granted, that would not stop those fans from complaining, they lost their shit over the animation style of Resistance.

So screw ’em. Disney makes enough money off of…well everything. Just to spite the stupid fans out there who complain about how Disney is ruining their childhood, just stop making movies for them. Maybe then they will just sit back and try to enjoy the movies (or not, that is fine…but what is not fine is harassing people because they starred in a movie).

  1. I think this video relates pretty well why a certain subset of fans hated the film:

In Last Jedi, the women and the liberals turn out to be right. If you’re anti-feminist, that comes across like a slap in the face. I had other entirely different problems with the movie, but I won’t rehash that here.
