No one cares about my fifth place matchup (yay, I won). Instead, we need to talk about the upset of the century: Jason took down Offord. It was fairly close all week, then Jason took the lead over the weekend, and never gave it back. Congrats on the big win.
On the other side of the bracket, we had an incredibly close battle between Ryan and Sean. It came down to the tie-breaker, which is the record between themselves in the regular season (Ryan won the two matchups 18-4).
So now we have Jason vs. Ryan in the championship, and Sean and Offord playing for third place. No one cares about the consolation bracket, sorry everyone else.
Fantasy Stud
Lots of amazing players for all the good teams this week. Cool to see the guys you expect to do big things, do actual big things during those critical moments. But you know who was a true difference maker? Royce Lewis. He scored five runs, hit three home runs, knocked in ten, and stole a base while hitting .280 with a .419 OBP. Jason picked Lewis up on 8/29. Smart move.
Recently I have been jamming out to some 90s rock (probably because of Jacob Givens). This is one of those songs that I think everyone knows, but would probably be hard-pressed to name the band. Sponge had some other good songs: “Molly”, “Have You Seen Mary”, and “Rainin’.”
