2018 Fantasy Baseball Week 20

Holy crap! I pretty much needed a miracle to get back into the playoff hunt and a miracle happened! My team played great AND Sean’s team lost.

KOW–Charlie Blackmon–KOW

Most of my team was above average this week. Interestingly, no one had that ridiculous week, but just solidly good all around. Blackmon was probably the best. He hit .364 with a .391 OBP. He stole two bases, hit a home run, scored five times, and knocked in three. If only he could be like this every week.

Around the League

Jason 7 Matt 4
Lindsey 6 Adam2 4
Pat 6 Offord 6
James 7 Gideon 5
Ryan 9 Sean 3

I never thought I would be so happy to see Ryan beat someone. If I end up making the playoffs, I may end up getting that guy a fruit-basket.

Best Move of the Week

Lindsey picked up Matt Chapman this week. Not really sure why someone dropped him, but he was there and she needed another hitter. He was pretty spectacular this week for her. He hit .474 with three home runs, five runs, and five RBIs. Guess what? Those runs put her ahead in that category and the home runs helped her tie that one. She needed it in that tough battle with Adam2.

The New Week

Lindsey moved back into first place and this week she takes on Dustin. Adam2 has a tough one with Gideon. Jason and Offord face off in a battle of odd places (third and fifth, should I root for Jason in this one?). Matt takes on Ryan (how many weeks in a row has he won?). Sean takes on Pat, while I take on James. A half game separates us. This could be a pretty intense week.

We will go back to Parker Posey’s most iconic role: Dazed and Confused. Here is the classic Sweet song (c’mon, do you know any other Sweet songs?) “Fox on the Run.”
