The pandemic really crushed movies this year. It took studios a little while to start releasing things to VOD. Disney did some cool things this year like releasing Frozen 2 early on during the pandemic and we definitely watched it at least two thousand times (even though we saw it in the theater when it came out last year). We also enjoyed watching Trolls World Tour. Of the kids movies, I would say that Onward was probably the one I enjoyed the most. I do not know which one Payton preferred, probably Trolls.
I only saw one movie in the theater this year and that was Tenet. I loved the movie, but it was not my favorite this year. My favorite was the surprisingly awesome Palm Springs. It is such a good movie. It is funny and sweet, while being a bit demented at times. I cannot recommend it enough. I think it is even cooler if you go into it knowing next to nothing about it.
