The Undoing–My Thoughts So Far

If you are not watching The Undoing on HBO, then I have to urge you to stop what you are doing and watch the first four episodes right this instant! It is definitely one of those shows that completely throws you for a loop and has you questioning everything you thought. Okay, maybe not that extreme, but the last two episodes have hit us with some bombshells. If you have not watched it yet, then stop reading because there will be spoilers.

The end of the third episode reveals that Nicole Kidman was walking near the victim’s studio around the same time she was murdered. The police strongly hint that they are considering her a suspect or at least they believe she helped her husband.

I am not going to lie, I considered her a suspect early on, but when Jonathan ran and then came back to the beach house, I assumed he did it. Or at the very least, I discounted Grace as being a murderer.

The question is whether or not someone murdered Elena and framed Jonathan and Grace. Or that Elena seduced Grace as well. That was actually what I assumed happened after the fundraiser.

The fourth episode had another big reveal. Jonathan goes on TV to try and explain his innocence. He says that someone took away the person he loved, which the episode ends with Grace looking at the TV shocked. It seems that Jonathan is implying that Fernando killed Elena. Or is he trying to cast doubt on his own wife (at the same time knowing saying that he loved Elena will crush her). He is definitely a dick.

Sidenote…who else loves Donald Sutherland? His cocksucker speech was probably one of the best television threats I’ve heard in awhile.
