Election 2018

Hey! Did you know that there is an election on November 6th? Yep, this is the midterm election. We have been hearing about this year being a blue wave, blue tsunami, blue whatever other weird oceanic term reporters choose to use; however, there is only one that can happen….if people get out and actually vote!

And look, I think most of you know which way I swing politically. For those of you that lean the other way, then do not bother reading. You are not going to see things from my perspective and to be honest, I do not care to try and get you on board. Nothing personal, it is just not worth the time or effort.

For those of you out there that like to vote for stupid candidates, like Green Party or Libertarian…knock that shit off now. I realize that your protest vote may seem like a great idea (or maybe you really believe in one of those candidates), but it is a waste. Donald Trump won Pennsylvania by 44,292 votes. 49,941 people voted for Jill Stein. I know, there was a time where I was tempted by Green Party candidates.

There was a time when I thought maybe they made sense, but then I started to dig deeper and guess what I found…nothing. No substance. No actual policy plans, nothing of merit. These third party people run on a few big issues, but they do not have an actual plan on how to implement them. Look at Gary Johnson, every time he was asked legit questions about how his ideas would work, he never had an answer. He would just stammer and act like a moron.

Sorry, did not mean to start ranting there. For my Democrat leaning friends out there, you have to get out there and vote. If you lean to the right, well, go ahead and stay home on that Tuesday. Or vote for those libertarian candidates.

If you would like to have a look at your ballot before you head to the polls and get the chance to research the candidates, here is a great tool.
