Halloween Party 2026

I wrote about our Halloween party last year, and I had no intention of writing about this year’s party, but it was such a great time that I wanted to talk about it. 

This was our fifth year having the party. Lindsey and Payton planned everything, and did an amazing job. They wanted to do a scary carnival, they both dressed as clowns, and they decorated the house with all sorts of creepy stuff. And Lindsey did it by staying relatively under budget (okay, there wasn’t a budget, but she did not spend an insane amount of money so yay!). I also decided to not get crazy with the food. Just kept it simple, pizza and hot dogs. Nachos, popcorn, and fun carnival treats. 

But the coolest thing? My friend Doug brought his slushy machine. He is one of the owners of Excise Distillery. He made an Ecto-Cooler (which was awesome, and a great test about who was old, haha), and apple cider slushy. He also brought a hot dog roller, and I brought some hot dogs from work, which were also a huge hit. 

It was a great night! I think everyone had fun. The kids were running around, the adults were conversing. It was an amazing party and look forward to the next one!
