Decades Project: 1980s Movie–Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

You could not enter the 1980s without discussing a John Hughes film. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is easily my favorite Hughes movie, and probably in my Top 25 (if I had such an impossible ranking). Ferris just comes off as so cool. I swear everyone would post this Ferris quote as an away message on AIM.

“Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Personally, I liked posting this one:
“Not that I condone fascism, or any -ism for that matter. -Ism’s in my opinion are not good. A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself. I quote John Lennon, “I don’t believe in Beatles, I just believe in me.” Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I’d still have to bum rides off people.”

So kick back, relax, and enjoy one of the greatest movies of the 1980s.
