The Comments…

The Facebook comments on any news story can be such an entertaining thing to read. I know, I have said that reading those types of things will get me angry, but there are comments that crack me up. The story has to be something stupid. For example, last week there was a story about Taylor Swift on one of the Pittsburgh news pages.

The comment that made me laugh? “Who cares”…why do people insist on writing a comment like that on a story? Obviously this person cared enough to write the comment. You are not nearly as edgy or cool as you think. We get it that you do not like Taylor Swift’s music, but guess what? Other people do. No biggie, we can all like whatever we want.

Another comment on that story that made me chuckle was something like “nothing about Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial? They don’t want us to hear about that!” Yeah, does this person realize that a newspaper or TV station can cover multiple stories? They have many reporters, they can do a story about the trial AND about Taylor Swift. Crazy, right?

I usually see these stories because my friend Bill is a world class shitposter. He loves to respond to those types of idiots. Today he commented on a story about Clark bars. You know, the candy bar.

Someone had to comment “nothing better to report on?” I just cannot fathom why this person cares so much about what WPXI reports. No one is forcing her to follow their page. There are other news agencies.

What cracks me up the most though is that when the media constantly reports on COVID or political stuff, there are comments (probably from this lady) like “why is the news always so negative, can’t they report on something good???” So they try to have a light-hearted story about Clark bars and people freak the fuck out. Idiots.
