As you can see, I had a bye. That is what happens when you have the best regular season record. Well okay, James had a bye as well, so I guess the top two are awesome. The first round did not disappoint.
Ryan decided to give Jason a beatdown. His team hit 17 HRs and rocked a .332 AVG. I pity whoever takes on that offense this week…oh right, it’s me. Damn. The other match was way more exciting. They went into Sunday tied 6-6. Halfway through the day, Sean posted a message saying that it looked like Adam2 would get the win because of the tie-breaker. And then something crazy happened. Adam2 picked up three wins on Sunday to take the lead on that category and give him the win. But, it was not over. Alex Colome pitched the top of the 9th of a tie game and then the Twins scored in the bottom of the inning to win it. So Alex picked up the win. That win brought the category back to even and gave Sean the victory. The worst thing for Adam2, he was going to add Steven Matz that morning, but decided against it. Guess what? Sean did add him and Matz also picked up a win. That is a kick in the nuts.
This week it is me versus Ryan. I am nervous. His team is coming off a great week. I need them to cool off. James faces Sean, and I wonder if it will be a battle of streaming versus standard pitching. Good luck everyone!
