King’s Dark Tidings: Kingdoms and Chaos

I am pretty sure that each book in this series is better than the previous one. The fourth story about the adventures of Rezkin and his friends did not disappoint. Kel Kade is quickly becoming one of my favorite writers.

I think this series would actually make a fantastic television show. The funny ways that Rezkin interacts with his friends, the bits of romance, the fantastic fight scenes, and the different magic. It would be such a great show.

A couple of my favorite parts of the book (there will be spoilers)…

-Tam becoming pretty tough on his own. I like Tam, it sucked how he was not featured much, but when he was involved, the story was excellent. I loved when he told the guy that he was the weapon.

-Finding out that Rezkin was actually being trained to be the next Rez. The entire idea of the Rez is cool and the revelation that he had died many times and his masters brought him back from the dead brings up more questions.

-Rezkin’s effortless way of accumulating power despite not wanting it. He is put on a task that is pretty stupid (and manipulated by different powers), but in the end he triumphs and collects more power along the way.

-The ending! I am happy for Tieran and Frisha. I seriously figured from fairly early in the book that they might end up together. But the better part was whatever took down Rezkin and the beings that mentioned he was inhabited by a demon. I cannot wait to find out what happens!

Anyone else reading this series? What do you think? Also, should I do a casting for my imaginary series at some point?
