I like doing predictions for sports. I love college football. Why not mix the two? I am going to predict the five major conferences. I am feeling pretty crazy! How many of these will be way off?

The ACC is pretty blah, as per usual. I mean, aside from Clemson, most of the other teams are fairly lackluster. I do not think Miami ends up being as good as they were last year. In fact, I think VA Tech wins that division. I also think FSU will be better this year.

The Sooners are still good, even without Baker Mayfield. That TCU defense should keep them in the running for the conference. I do think WVU also has a chance to compete for this conference. The Cowboys, Longhorns, Red Raiders, and Cyclones are probably the most likely to upset one of the top teams, but then also lose to Baylor or Kansas.

I think Bryce Love and the Cardinals are just slightly better than the Washington Huskies. Over in the other division, the top team is USC and it all depends on true freshman JT Daniels. If he has a good start, then they could overcome some of those early struggles from the past few years.

Why does the East even exist? They should seriously reconfigure these divisions. I think Florida will be better, but Georgia is still the team to beat. Alabama is probably the best team in the country, I mean, we should always start the year out by saying those words. If LSU is in the East, they probably make a run at the division. But in the West…maybe they finish fourth.

I think the Nittany Lions are going to be fantastic this year. I realize they have some weak spots, but I think Trace McSorely can lead them past just about anyone. Ohio State will be good, but I wonder how much this scandal will affect them. I think Nebraska will be improved with a new head coach.

Screw it, I am just going to go the total homer route here. I think they are good enough. I do not think they are elite, but they can be competitive. Honestly though, if I was betting, I would probably take Alabama.
Finally, my last prediction will be the none power five conference team to make waves. This year it will be Boise State. They play Oklahoma State in week three and I think they will upset them. After that, it should be fairly easy for them to go undefeated.
