It is so hard to pick a favorite moment for Payton. We had another great time snow tubing. We went to her first Someone Special Dance (even if she just ran around with her friends and never danced with me). She graduated kindergarten, had another fantastic dance recital, and continued to impress with her swimming skills, as well as not being afraid of giant water slides at Hershey.
But I think we all know my favorite moment with my daughter this year. She enjoyed softball, and it was definitely tough seeing her struggle at the plate. When she finally got her first hit, I was beyond proud, and excited. She ended up with a few more hits. During the summer, we practiced in the yard, and she started really hitting the ball hard. She is actually excited for the upcoming season. I look forward to seeing her grow in this sport.
Okay, least favorite moment time…when she almost died at Ohiopyle. I know that it is difficult to see in the video from that post, but the terror in her eyes, then the scream for me to help. It seriously haunts me. I have had so many nightmares about that day, and constantly think about how it could have ended so badly. Fortunately, everything turned out okay.
