2022 MLB Predictions

The lockout ended and we are going to have a baseball season. This is the 15th year of my baseball predictions, which makes this the longest running thing I have done on this blog.  (Maybe look at my all-time record?) Unfortunately, due to some home remodeling, this will have to be a simplified version as opposed to other years. Sorry, I will do better next year.

World Series: Padres over Blue Jays

Can you imagine a World Series of Fernando Tatis Jr. versus Vlad Guerrero Jr.??? I know, the Padres collapsed last year, but I think they build upon that and end up getting hot at the right time. The Pirates will be terrible this season. They have some young bright spots, but the rest of the team is awful. I could see them trading Reynolds during the season (and maybe other players if there is any market for them) and just going on one of those stretches where they lost like thirty of their forty games.
