For most of her existence on this planet, Payton has slept in her own room. She was a great baby when it came to sleep. She transitioned to a bed easily. Granted, there were a few times when she came to sleep with us in our bed, but not too often. Until a few months ago.
Not sure what she watched or saw, but she now is scared of something coming up from under her bed to attack her. She was scared to go to sleep, so we started leaving her light on, but then she would just think about it too much. Payton slept with Logan for a bit, but then one night they got into an argument, and Logan kicked her out.
That is when we started a new thing. She would fall asleep in our bed, then I would move her when I went to bed. But it does not last very long. She will wake up and come right back to our bed. She moves around way too much, so it causes us to not get a good night’s sleep. Plus she has a habit of pushing her feet into my back, so I have been waking up recently with a sore back. Yeah, it is great.
I am trying to be patient, but it is getting old. I have tried rationalizing with her. We did the whole search under the bed. I tried being mean. None of it worked. I need her to get through this phase.
