2019 Fantasy Baseball Week 6

Happy birthday, Sean! I seriously thought I might be able to come back on Sunday. Hell, my team had a great Mother’s Day, but it was just not enough. Oh well…

Fantasy Player of the Week
George Springer was incredible last week. Ten runs, ten RBIs, five home runs, and a .519 AVG with a .563 OBP. Lindsey almost traded him to Sean, which would have been even worse for me. Fortunately, when she asked my opinion of the trade, I told her it was bad.

Around the League
Matt 7 Gideon 4
Lindsey 7 Jason 4
Ryan 7 Pat 5
James 6 Adam2 4
Dustin 10 Offord 2

Seems like every week has been pretty interesting. Dustin has a huge win and makes a big jump in the standings, Gideon continues to slide, and my wife continues to win.

Best Move
I traded Daniel Vogelbach and Aaron Nola to Dustin for Kris Bryant. The Cubs slugger was having a bit of a cold streak and then he came to my team and BOOM! He started crushing the ball again. I guess a change of scenery helped. Vogelbach and Nola have not been very good for Dustin yet, but that could change. Well probably not Vogelbach, I think he just had a hot start and is coming back to Earth.

The New Week
James stays in first place, but now my wife is only a game and a half back. I am only three games back, so this loss did not hurt me too much. After that we have Dustin, Ryan, Sean, Jason, Gideon, and Adam2 all around 8.5 to 10.5 games back. From there we have Matt, Pat, and Offord. They are still in it, but they need to string together some wins.

This week I face Gideon, while Lindsey takes on Pat. James should have an easy one with Matt. Jason should have an easy win with Offord, while Dustin and Adam2 look to stay in the race. The big matchup this week is between Sean and Ryan. A big win from either one could propel them into that upper tier.

Since Lindsey won again, we get another Bush song. This week it is The Stringray Mix of “Mouth” from the American Werewolf in Paris soundtrack.
