We made it about two months. Unfortunately Hulu Live was not great for us. First of all, we had a ton of problems with it buffering all the time. Then there was a glitch where it would replay a scene from a few seconds. So like a character would say “Hey Tom, how are you?” Then the glitch and it would go back and repeat that scene. It was really annoying.
Another problem is that we live in Ebensburg. There are no other internet options here, so we had to stick with Comcast for high speed internet. Our internet went up to almost $100/month, so if you combine that with Hulu Live + HBO, we were not really saving any money. I called the other day to see what deals Comcast had and guess what? They had a home bundle that was $100/month. Yes, in two years the price will go up again, but when it does I will just call and renegotiate.
It was pretty great being to watch the Pirates game tonight (even if they did lose). I suppose the cool world of cord-cutting is not quite in this area yet.
Damn, I hate monopolies.
Right? And I am pretty sure they know when you cut the cord because all of a sudden my internet was suspiciously slower
