The news from last night is that a group of Trump supporters clashed with protesters in Portland, which ended up with one person dead. This is insanity. I fear that this will only get worse. More and more people will see the actions of these supporters or Kyle Rittenhouse and decide they too need to join the battle. At that point, the protesters in these cities will feel they need to defend themselves. It will happen. There will be a miniature battle in the streets of one of our cities.
It is insane to me that we have become this polarized as a country. Depressing, sad, infuriating…insert any of those words to describe how I think many of us feel most of the time anymore. Sometimes I think that maybe we get through all of this division and hatred, which will brings us together and make the country stronger. Unfortunately, most of the time I think it will just end in our country fracturing to the point of forming new, smaller nations.
These QAnon psychos scare the crap out of me. They believe that all Democrats (or DEMONcrats as they say) are pedophiles and into child sex trafficking. It makes me hesitate putting a Biden lawn sign out, not because I am ashamed of who I will vote for, but because I do not know which of my neighbors is into that stuff and might do something if they think I am a threat to my kids.
Sorry for the ranting today, I just felt like I needed to vent a little bit.
