I feel like I need to say what everyone is thinking…2020 really sucks. To think that Boseman had cancer while filming a bunch of movies. It is even crazier to think that he died on the day that MLB commemorates Jackie Robinson, whom he played in 42.
I think how perfect he was to play T’Challa. It would have been very easy to try and make the role more over-the-top. A king who is a superhero. You could have had him be a flamboyant type king. Instead, Boseman played it very subdued. Some of my favorite parts of Black Panther are the interactions between him and other characters, such as his sister or the end of Civil War when he stops Zemo from killing himself.
This is a sad day and the world has lost not only a fantastic actor, but also an amazing human.
